Second Serve is nationwide! Beginning January 2017, donations will be given to the USTA Foundation.
THE MISSION OF THE USTA FOUNDATION IS TO BRING TENNIS AND EDUCATION TOGETHER TO CHANGE LIVES. Using this powerful combination, the USTA Foundation helps serve up dreams for under-resourced youth; individuals with disabilities; and wounded, ill and injured service members, veterans and their families. We make our choices very carefully, and make sure that our contributions are going to well-run organizations who make a difference in people’s lives with an emphasis on tennis and fitness. If you know of a worthy organization who is involved in tennis, youth or sports-related causes, requests for consideration can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or use the form on our Contact Us page.
In our initial launch phase of Second Serve Foundation, donations are currently going to:
THE COLORADO YOUTH TENNIS FOUNDATION
Through the lifetime sport of tennis, the Colorado Youth Tennis Foundation, a 501(c)3 fundraising arm of USTA Colorado, promotes the physical, emotional and social development of ALL youth to aspire to become active, productive and responsible citizens. Thanks to the CYTF, tennis dreams have come true for thousands of Colorado kids since its formation in 1961. By providing individual player scholarships and program grants to kids and organizations throughout the state, the CYTF ensures that juniors from small rural towns as well as from larger metropolitan areas benefit from the sport.
Tennis is much more than a healthy sport. It teaches important life skills like self-confidence, sportsmanship and teamwork. The CYTF is committed to providing tennis as a means to instill these attributes in Colorado’s children regardless of economic, social or ethnic background.
