How do I donate?
It’s easy!  And free!  Just click on the “Request a Free Donation Bag” button.  This will let you request a Clear-out-the-Clutter Bag, which will arrive at your home within just a few days.  Fill it to your heart's content with your unwanted tennis items in good condition, then either leave it for your mail carrier or drop it at a USPS location.  Or if you prefer, you can request to print a label at home and use your own packaging.  If you need an equipment box, we’ll send you that too!  The postage is on us! Your accepted items will be featured on SecondServe.com or become part of our Pop-Up sale inventory.

What are your evaluation criteria?
We accept TENNIS AND ACTIVE WEAR ONLY.  Please do not send non-sports related items.  All items must be clean, freshly laundered and not showing excessive wear.  There should be no fading or pilling and all fasteners/zippers/buttons must be working.  Apparel should have no tears, stains, pet hair or odors (no smokers please!) and no altered clothing.  We do not accept any sports bras, unless they are NWT (new with tags).
Shoes are only accepted if they have little or no wear. (Bought the wrong size and wore them once? We’ll take them!) All equipment will be examined by trained professionals to check for excess wear before we post the items on Second Serve. Items should be on trend and not more than 5 years old.

What brands do you accept?
We have a list of brands we love as well as brands we do not accept.  Click here to see the list. However, we will accept other brands not listed as long as they are in great condition.  If you have any questions, you can always send us an email at info@secondserve.com or give us a call at (970) 541-9525 before you mail your package.

How do I find out how much I get in return for my donation?
Upon arrival at Second Serve, your items will be inspected.  When your items are accepted, you will receive an email with a coupon code for 20% off your next purchase.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
For most people, yes!  Depending on your particular tax situation, your donation of clothing and equipment to Second Serve can qualify as a charitable contribution.  When we receive your donation bag, a charitable contribution receipt will be sent to you for your records.  

What if you don’t want the items I send?
If the items you send do not pass our inspection for resell, we will donate your items to a local charity or repurpose them. They will not go to the landfill!

Not sure about buying gently-used athletic gear?
We inspect every item we receive with strict evaluation criteria.  We will not post anything on Second Serve that we wouldn’t wear ourselves.  All items are subject to our special sanitizing procedures and arrive at your doorstep in ready-to-wear condition. Read more about Our Promise 

What do your different ratings mean?
NWT - New with tags. Item has never been worn.
Like New - Item has not been worn or is in excellent condition.
Gently-Used - Item is in great shape and shows limited signs of previous use.

How much is shipping?
USPS Standard Shipping: (Orders will arrive in 3-8 business days)

Do you ship to Hawaii, Alaska and US Territories?
Yes, but please be aware that orders sent to these areas may take up to 6 weeks to receive. In addition we cannot offer our Donation bag delivery to these addresses.  At this time we do not ship to international addresses.

What is your return policy?
We all know that buying clothing online can be a little tricky because sizes vary among different brands. We do our best to provide you with measurements and advice on sizing, but we know from time to time, things just don’t go as planned. We want to make the return process as easy as possible.

Easy Returns:
• You have 14 days after receiving your items to decide what you want to keep or return.

• To initiate a return, go to RETURNS in your account

Note:
• In order to qualify for a refund, all items must be in the condition in which you received them. Items new with tags must be returned with original tags attached.
• Promotions and discounts will not be reimbursed.
• Only customers residing in the 48 contiguous US states will have access to the pre-paid, preaddressed return label.
• Original shipping charge is not refunded for the return of item(s).

How much of my purchase is going to charity?
100% of proceeds go to our charitable partners.

Why should I care about my clothes ending up in a landfill?
The average American buys five times more clothing than they did 40 years ago and averages 60 pounds of textile waste each year.  In fact, the volume of textile waste has risen 40% in the last the year.  Clothing accounts for approximately 6% of all waste and only 15% is donated.  The rest, about 10.5 million tons goes into the landfill.  Consumers changing their habits and we make it easy for you to feel good about where your extra tennis gear ends up.  Congratulations on being part of the hot resale trend!
